A realistic abas implementation takes six to twelve months, depending on company size. Anyone promising you significantly less is either planning the rework in from the start or not telling you the whole truth. We work with a solid project plan and clear milestones — with experience from six implementations, for mid-sized companies in Baden-Württemberg and across the entire DACH region.
No miracle promises — a plan.
Six to twelve months, depending on company size and process landscape: that's the honest range for an abas implementation. We set milestones that are measurable and tell you early when something threatens the plan — not only once the go-live starts to wobble.
Every implementation with us runs through seven phases: process analysis, concept, configuration and customizing, data migration, training, go-live, post-go-live care. Each phase has a defined outcome — you always know where the project stands and what comes next.
Some implementations reach us when they've long been underway — and are stalling. We step in, take honest stock of what is finished and what only looks finished, and bring the project back onto a realistic plan. No finger-pointing, with clear priorities.
Because we know where the expensive mistakes hide — and where they don't.
Process analysis, customizing, data migration, go-live: our founder Oliver has guided six abas implementations and spent years as a trainer at the abas Academy. We know the mistakes that make ERP projects expensive from up close — and plan around them.
An ERP is only as good as the people working with it. That's why training is a fixed part of our project plan — in good time before the go-live, not hectically after it.
The first weeks of live operation decide acceptance. We stay reachable during the aftercare phase, fix teething problems quickly and fine-tune wherever daily reality differs from the concept. After that, our support takes over.
Where the standard isn't enough, we adapt — cleanly and documented, so later updates don't turn into a rebuild. More under Customizing & Interfaces.
An implementation consists of many disciplines — we cover the most important ones ourselves.
Tell us where you stand. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic — even if the answer is uncomfortable.
